Warren H. Lynch
Of Dover, formerly of Milford, passed away Wednesday, July 7, 2010 at his home. He was 89.
Warren was born on March 6, 1921 in Milford, son of the late James H. and Nellie (Collins) Lynch.
He was a veteran of the Army Air Corp proudly serving his country during World War II.
Mr. Lynch was a self employed plumbing and heating contractor for 40 years, retiring from the business in 1985.
He enjoyed watching his purple martins, woodworking and loved gardening, paying special attention to his pole beans.
Mr. Lynch was a charter member of the Blue Hen VFW Post #6483 in Milford.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth M. Lynch in 1998 and a brother, Alpheus Dick Lynch.
He is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and E. Michael Laverty of Dover; a brother, Harry B. Lynch of Milford; and a sister, Sarah Ann Carter of Milford.
Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 11, 2010 at Rogers Funeral Home, 301 Lakeview Ave, Milford, where friends may call one hour prior.
Burial with military honors will be held in the Milford Community Cemetery on Route 113.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial contributions to Delaware Hospice, Kent County, Lotus Plaza, 911 South DuPont Hwy, Dover, DE, 19901.
