Viola "Miss Vi" Stutz, 101
GREENWOOD - Viola Stutz went to her heavenly home, a trip she has been waiting and looking forward to, on July 1, 2016 at the Country Rest Home in Greenwood. She was 101.
Vi was born in Milledgeville, Ohio, on May 10, 1915, daughter of the late George and Etta Wood.
She was a member of the Pilgrim Chapel in Harrington.
In addition to her parents, Vi will be joining other family members that preceded her; husbands, Emerson Jones and Charles Stutz; brothers, Herb, John, Elza, and Bob; sister, Alma; nephew, Howard; and son-in-law, Ray Baker.
She is survived by two daughters, Barbara Baker of Greenwood, with whom she lived since moving from Ohio in 1998, and Mary Wood and husband Barry of Maize, Kansas; a sister, Kay Good of Grove City, Ohio; five grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, one great -great grandchild, and many other family members and friends.
Services will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 5, 2016 at Rogers Funeral Home, 301 Lakeview Ave, Milford, where friends may call after 6:00 p.m.
Interment will be held in Ohio at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial contributions be made to the Pilgrim Chapel, Missions Fund, 4792 Milford Harrington Hwy, Harrington, DE, 19952, or to Delaware Hospice Center, whom the family thanks for their love and care, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE, 19963.
