Shirley J. Yearsley

On December 20, 2024, while surrounded by her loved ones, Shirley J. Yearsley, peacefully passed away. She was 67.

Shirley was born in Cheverly, MD on May 12, 1957, to the late Woodrow and Minnie King.

She worked at Playtex for many years while the company changed names to Energizer and then Edgewell.

Mrs. Yearsley enjoyed creating magical moments for special occasions through her decorating skills, cooking for family and friends, watching TV, was a music enthusiast, playing at the slots and spending time with her beloved cats, “Mischief” and the late “Tiger”.

Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Yearsley.

She is survived by her children, Colette Golden-Cooper, Dwayne Colman and his wife Nikki, Holly Cortez and her husband Joshua, and Tina Blake and her husband Kris, 14 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, and 2 half-sisters, Kathy Hansen, and Rene Harris.

The family will receive visitors at Rogers Hovatter Funeral Home, 301 Lakeview Ave, Milford, from 11AM to 1PM on Saturday January 4, with a funeral service at 1PM.
