Robert Roach
MILFORD - Robert Roach died on Saturday, June 20, 2015 at the Delaware Hospice Center in Milford.
Robert was born on January 8, 1939 in Milford to the late Douglas and Marie (Deputy) Roach.
He attended the Milford Senior High School graduating with the Class of 1957.
He started working as a machinist for the Playtex Company in 1964 and retired from his position in 1999.
Bob served as a volunteer for the Memorial Volunteer Fire Co. Station #89 for many years holding such positions as Secretary and Assistant Chief ultimately becoming a Life Member. His hobbies included hunting, fishing and tending to his garden. He was also an avid Nascar fan rooting for Richard Petty #43. Bob spent a great deal of time with his buddy and four-legged companion Chipper.
Bob is survived by a daughter, Ellen Roach; a son, Rob Roach and his wife Erin and their daughter Michaela all of Milford; a brother, Marshall "Joe" Roach of Ellendale; and a sister, Jean Scott of Georgetown.
Services for Bob with Fireman's Honors will be held on Saturday, June 27, 2015 at 12 noon at the Rogers Funeral Home, 301 Lakeview Ave, Milford, where friends may call after 10:00 a.m.
Interment will follow the services in the Milford Community Cemetery.
