Raymond R. Barbier, Sr.
HARRINGTON - Raymond R. Barbier, Sr. passed away Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at Bayhealth Milford Memorial Hospital. He was 86.
He was born in Bronx, New York on May 11, 1930, son of the late Charles and Mary (Tuffini) Barbier.
Mr. Barbier was a proud veteran of the United States Navy serving his country during the Korean Conflict.
Raymond was lastly employed as foreman of the Parks and Recreation Department for the Town of Clarkstown, New York, a position he held for 12 years before retiring in 1987.
He was a member of St. Bernadette Catholic Church in Harrington.
Raymond is survived by his wife of 63 years, Marie Barbier; two sons, Raymond R. Barbier, Jr. and his wife Jan of Milford, and Charles J. Barbier and his wife Debra of Forney, TX; two daughters, Laura Casey and her husband Tom of New Windsor, NY, and Marie Bradley and her husband Michael of Seaford; a sister, Loretta Sehnal of Lake Ariel, PA; eight grandchildren, and one great granddaughter.
A visitation will be held from 7-9:00 p.m. on Monday, January 16, 2017 at Rogers Funeral Home, 301 Lakeview Ave, Milford.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at St. Bernadette Catholic Church, 109 Dixon St, Harrington.
Burial will follow the services in the Eastern Shore Veterans Cemetery, 6827 E. New Market Ellwood Rd, Hurlock, Maryland.
