Pat Stanley, a prominent lighting designer in the Washington area for over 50 years died Thursday, November 14th, 2024 in a Philadelphia hospital.
From 1967 to 1977 she worked at Dominion Electric in Arlington, Virginia. In 1977 she became one of two managers of Maurice Electrical Supply’s lighting showroom at 11th & M Street, NW DC. Eighteen years later she moved back to Dominion Electric where she worked until retiring in 2019.
She lived in Chevy Chase, Maryland at the Carlton in Friendship Heights then built a house and moved to Milton, Delaware in 2017 working remotely until 2019.
Pat was born on August 21, 1943 in Hampstead, England. Her American father, USAF Brigadier Major General Willard Wesley Millikan was a celebrated flying ace during WWII and her mother Ruby Samantha Wesson was an English artist.
Pat was married briefly to William Stanley who died in 2022. She has no immediate survivors apart from many close friends.
