Nicholas Dalton
Of Houston, passed away Saturday, November 17, 2012 at his home. He was 70.
Nicholas was born on December 22, 1941 in Philadelphia, son of the late John J. and Helen (Whalen) Dalton.
Mr. Dalton entered his service with the United States Air Force in 1959, and continued his military career full time as a flight line crew chief and jet engine mechanic until his retirement.
Nicholas looked forward to football season each year and was a special fan of the old Baltimore Colts team and then the Ravens.
He was a member of the American Legion in Wilmington later transferring his membership to the American Legion Post #7 in Harrington.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Dalton was preceded in death by his brother, John Dalton; two step-sons, Don Johnson and Nathan Johnson and a step-daughter, Peggy Pleasanton.
He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Barbara Ann Dalton; two daughters, Laura C. Stewart of Temecula, CA; and Angela H. Palacios of Murrieta, CA; two step-sons, Lenwood Johnson, Jr. of Dover and Van Johnson of Lewes; a step-daughter, Suzette Freeman of Dover; a sister and brother-in-law, Flo and Kenneth Humphrey of Morehead City, NC; and four grandchildren.
Services and burial will be held privately.
The family has requested memorial contributions to the Faith Community Church, 2240 S. DuPont Hwy, Camden, DE, 19934.
