Cornelius "Neil" A. Moore

MILFORD - Neil A. Moore passed away suddenly at his home on Monday, December 28, 2015.  He was 71.

He was born in Cambridge, Maryland on April 23, 1944, son of the late Odus and Virginia (Fallin) Moore.

Neil was also a member of the Masonic Temple Lodge #9 A.F.&A.M. in Milford, an honorary member of several local fire companies in Kent and Sussex Counties, and a long time member of the Avenue United Methodist Church in Milford.

Neil took great pride in his diverse group of friends, from his Thursday night pinochle group, to politicians, bus drivers and contractors, work colleagues, and generations of students and their families who had ridden on one of his busses.

In addition to his parents, Neil was preceded in death by a sister, Dolores S. Smith, and his beloved Labradors, Skiff, Drake, Gunner and Decoy.

He is survived by two sons, Christopher C. Moore of Wilmington, and Ryan O. Moore and his wife, Jamie Moore of Harrington; a grandson, Mason Andrew Moore, also of Harrington; a sister, Joan Quillen and her husband Francis Quillen of Harrington; a nephew, Borden Smith of Milford; his loving companion, Ann Gravatt; and his four-legged canine co-pilots, Remmington and Farley.
