Matthew A. Todd

"Always in Our Hearts"

Matthew A. Todd unexpectedly passed away on April 28, 2012 at his home in Greenwood. He was 28.

Matt was born August 10, 1983, in Washington, DC, and lived most of his life in Greenwood, where he was a graduate of Milford High School.

Matt was a very exceptional computer wiz called on by everyone in his life for his amazing ability to solve the toughest problems. After finishing several professional technology certification programs, he was hired by the American Diabetes Association in Alexandria, VA, where he very much enjoyed his three years supporting their information technology department. Last summer Matt was lured back home to Greenwood by Fellowship Health Resources, Inc., where he served as the regional IT representative and enjoyed his travels to the surrounding state facilities getting them back "on line".

When not working, you would find Matt with his cherished friends, most especially his life long best friend and roommate Ruben VanHoy, who was with him until the end.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Earle Richard Todd, Sr. his maternal grandfather, Howard E. Sorber, Jr., and his maternal grandmother, Helen Sorber.

Matt was the beloved son of Earle Richard Todd, Jr. and Corinne Todd-Grieve, both of Greenwood. He is also survived by stepfather, Roger Grieve; loving older brother, Nicholas A. Todd of Rehoboth Beach; sister Angelique Combs, husband Glen, and two sons, Cody and Corey of Millsboro; paternal grandmother, Marian Carter of Felton; beloved Aunt Karen Sorber; Uncle Howard Sorber and daughter Emily; Uncle Robert Sorber and two sons Bobby and Shaun; cousin Michael Holp and daughter Rachael, all of Northern Virginia; Uncle Robert King, wife Brenda and two children Amber and Robert Jr. of Harrington; and Uncle William King, wife Kathy and two children Jeremy and Katie of Monroe, Washington.

Matt will be interred in a private ceremony at St. Johnstown Cemetery in Greenwood. Friends may help us celebrate Matt's life at the Farm in Greenwood after 1:00 p.m. on Friday, May 4, 2012.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Matt's memory to the American Diabetes Association, 1701 North Beauregard St, Alexandria, VA, 22311 or the Fellowship Health Resources, Inc., 400 Delaware Ave, Millsboro, DE, 19966.
