Matthew Meredith

Seaford – On April 1, 2019, Matt Meredith went home to be with the Lord.

He was born on September 23, 1983 in Seaford, DE

Matt attended Seaford High School.

After school Matt worked various jobs in construction, working at Utility, Don Moore, and most recently, McMullen.

He loved being outdoors, and was an avid fisherman, hunter, trapper, handy-man, and enjoyed running heavy equipment.

Matt was well loved by his family and friends.

Matt was preceded in death by his mother Donna Ockels, his grandparents, Wilson and Ruth Ellen Meredith and his Aunt Joyce Ann Mears.

He is survived by his wife, Becca Meredith, his children, Hunter Meredith, Bristol Lambden, and Sawyer Meredith, his father, Marty Ockels, Sr., his brothers, Marty Ockels, Jr and his wife Melissa, and Storm Ockels and his wife Sarah, his sister, Kristen Osborne and her husband James, his nieces and nephew, Sydney and Grant Ockels, Riley Osborne,  his aunts Diane Harrington and Debbie Waldridge, his Aunt Sue and Uncle Burt Ockels, and many other aunts, uncles and cousins.

There will be a memorial service at Laurel Nazarene Church, 94 Walnut Street, Laurel, DE 19956, on Saturday 4/13, at 11AM.

In lieu of flowers, donations in his name may be made to the Laurel Nazarene Church.
