Kenneth Arthur Campana

MILFORD - Kenneth A. Campana passed away Thursday, March 9, 2017 at the Delaware Veterans Home in Milford.  He was 75.

Kenneth was born in Quincy, MA, on December 29, 1941, son of the late Domenico and Ethel (Tremayne) Campana.

He was a summa cum laude graduate of Boston University where he was inducted into the prestigious honor society Phi Beta Kappa and earned his Masters Degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in Cambridge, MA.  He later pursued more advanced studies in meteorology at the University of Maryland, College Park.

Mr. Campana served his country with the United States Army and was a proud veteran.

He was employed as a research meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Camp Springs, MD, retiring in 2008 after dedicating over 40 years to his profession.

Ken was an avid fan of the Washington Capitals and the Boston Red Sox and enjoyed watching their games.  He was a Washington Capitals season ticket holder since Day 1 of the team and kept them for over 35 years.  Ken also enjoyed participating in softball, golf, bowling, darts, and gardening.

He was a member of the Church of St. John the Evangelist in Clinton, MD, and the Knights of Columbus, also in Clinton.

Ken is survived by his wife of 41 years, Betsy Campana; two daughters, Amelia Campana and Katherine Campana; and a sister, Elizabeth Campana.

Services will be held at a later date in Clinton.
