Kathryn B. Dill
Age 84, of Felton, passed away Wednesday, January 16, 2013 at Silver Lake Center in Dover.
Kathryn was born on April 15, 1928, daughter of the late Henry and Menia (Walls) Bennett.
Mrs. Dill was employed among several of the school cafeterias within the Lake Forest School District, retiring after 23 years.
Kathryn treasured quiet time reading her Bible and Bible Study books. Along with her late husband, she enjoyed going on camping trips and watching Nascar racing, both being avid fans of Dale Earnhardt, Sr.
She was a life member of the Frederica Fire Co Ladies Auxiliary. Mrs. Dill was a long time member of the Trinity United Methodist Church in Frederica where she was a member of the choir and a soloist on many occasions and was a past lay leader, treasurer and Sunday school superintendent. In her later years, she became a member of the Manship Chapel in Felton, and regularly attended Sunday services.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Dill was preceded in death by her husband, Ezekiel K. Dill; and a son, Charles E. Dill.
She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, David and Faye Dill of Felton; six grandchildren, Kevin Dill; Cindy Boling and her husband James; Melissa Dill; Michele Tucker and her husband Jeff; Matthew Dill and his wife Jessie; and Michael Dill and his wife Abby; and six great-grandchildren, Tristan Boling, Gavin Boling, Adalyn Dill, Brooke Tucker, Blayne Tucker, and Gage Dill.
Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 22, 2013 at Rogers Funeral Home, 301 Lakeview Ave, Milford, where friends may call after 11:00 a.m.
Burial will be held in Barratts Chapel Cemetery in Frederica.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial contributions to Manship Chapel, 4912 Burnite Mill Rd, Felton, DE, 19943, or to the Frederica Fire Co Ladies Auxiliary, P.O. Box 283, Frederica, DE, 19946.
