June Gloria Morris
MILFORD - June G. Morris was called home to God and to her late husband, Brownlow, on Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at her home surrounded by loved ones. She was 83.
She was born in Brooklyn, NY, daughter of the late Hans and Anna Jacobsen.
June and Brownlow were married in Virginia on December 5, 1949 and moved to Milford where they built a home and raised their family. They owned and operated Brownie's Bait and Tackle on Cedar Beach Road, a daily stop for fisherman to get bait on their way to Slaughter Beach. She was well versed on how to catch a fish, with which bait and tackle, better than any man. June was always filled with energy and wanted to be on the move.
She enjoyed going for long drives, swimming and playing bingo, and loved singing and playing the guitar.
June will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Brownlow and her sister, Victoria.
She is survived by her two children, John Morris and Peggy Brooks; her siblings, Victor, Hans and Margaret; her grandchildren, Michael Mills, Jodie Morris, Julie Morris and Jill Yoder, and seven great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at the Cedar Neck Church Cemetery, Cedar Beach Rd, Milford.
Burial will follow the services.
