Judith A. Weiland

Of Harbeson, passed away Monday, June 6, 2011 at Delaware Hospice Center in Milford. She was 72.

Judith was born on July 12, 1938 in East Orange, New Jersey, daughter of the late Maynard R. and Mae E. (Rooney) Roff.

She was employed for over 20 years as the Office Manager for Lane Builders, Inc. and Cape Contractors, LLC owned by Gary McCrea. After retirement in 2005 Judy continued her employment with Mr. McCrea on a part-time basis managing the accounting for KGB Properties, LLC and Lane Builders, Inc.

Judy was a member of Conley's United Methodist Church and served on financial and fund raising committees. She was a member of the Board of Directors of ANKH, Inc., an organization that formerly provided residential substance abuse treatment to women. Judy also supported organizations serving homeless animals and had two rescue dogs that she dearly loved.

She is survived by a sister, Drusilla Piper of Newcomb, NY; two nieces; Linda Chancey of Warrensburg, NY and Patricia Moles of Lake Placid, NY; a nephew and God Son, Eric Piper of Minerva, NY and many special friends.

A Celebration of Judy's Life will be held on Friday, June 17, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. at Conley's Chapel, 22150 Robinsonville Rd, Lewes.

Burial will be held privately.

In lieu of flowers her friends request contributions in her honor to Conley's United Methodist Church, 33106 Jolyns Way, Lewes, DE, 19958 or Delaware Hospice, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE, 19963.
