Judith A. Prouse, age 77, of Milford, DE, departed her earthly life on January 1, 2025 at Beebe Hospital in Lewes, DE surrounded by her family.
Judith was born on May 15, 1947, daughter of the late Sarah and Thomas Walls. She was born at Wilmington Hospital and grew up in Delaware City, DE. She later graduated from Gunning Bedford High School in New Castle, DE in 1965.
At the beginning of her career, Judy worked in the secretary field. She obtained her real estate license and worked as a Real Estate Agent for both Century 21 and Mann & Sons Inc. in Rehoboth Beach, DE. She spent the remainder of her career as Property Manager for One Virginia Avenue Condominium in Rehoboth Beach, DE. Her family frequently visited her at work where she enjoyed taking them trick-or-treating at the Sea Witch Festival and to the amusement rides at Funland. Once retired, Judy moved to Milford, DE full-time and was a member of Avenue United Methodist Church.
Referred to by her family as “MomMom,” Judy was known for her love of Elvis, classic movies, and traveling. Throughout her lifetime, she explored several islands in the Caribbean and traveled extensively through Europe, always accompanied by her girlfriends whose friendships she deeply cherished. Those who knew her often joked that her paychecks seemed to find their way to QVC, a reflection of her love for shopping. She also shared her passion for the beach with her family at Rehoboth Beach, DE where she delighted in Kohr Brothers orange vanilla ice cream and Dolle’s saltwater taffy.
She is survived by her sons, Donald M. Prouse, Jr. (Hilary), Daniel Prouse; her grandchildren, Brent Prouse (Elisa), Jordan Prouse, Wyatt Prouse, and Ashton Michael; her great-grandchildren, Layla and Brody Prouse; and her cousin, Barbara Anderson.
