Judith Keturi DeLong
Age 90, of Milford, formerly a longtime resident of Greenwich, NJ, died July 29, 2012 at the Milford Center in Milford, DE.
Judy was born in Hancock, MI to Johanna and Alexander Keturi, who emigrated from Finland.
She graduated from high school in central New York State and worked as a comptometer operator.
In 1944, she married Allen R. DeLong; they were married for 51 years until his passing in 1995. Their children, the focus of Judy's life, were raised in Vineland, NJ, where Judy was active in the League of Women Voters, the Redeemer Lutheran Church, the PTA, and the Junior Chamber of Commerce.
In 1967 she and her husband built their dream home on Davis Mill Pond in Greenwich. While living there, Judy was an active volunteer at the Warren and Reba Lummis Genealogical and Historical Research Library and the Bridgeton Research Club.
She is survived by two daughters; Johanna Starkey of Oakton, VA, and Bernadette DeLong of Dover, DE; one son, Charles DeLong of Spring Grove, VA; eight loving grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be held privately.
