Joseph Prouse, Jr.

On May 29, 2023 Joseph W. Prouse, Jr., passed away in Georgetown, DE.

He was 30 years old.

Joey was born in Dover, DE on April 9, 1993 to Joseph W. Prouse, Sr. and Tammy Martin.

He grew up in Milford and attended Milford High School, class of 2011.

Joey worked as an Outreach Specialist at the Oxford House and currently at Delaware Police Diversion Program (DSAMH). He volunteered at Voices Of Hope and at local food banks to help the needy.

Mr. Prouse enjoyed going to concerts and baseball games, but his biggest enjoyment was spending time with his son, Luke.

Joey is survived by his son, Luke Prouse, Luke’s mother, Chelsea Scott, his father, Joseph Prouse, Sr., his mother, Tammy Meredith, his sister, Shelby Meredith, his grandparents, Wayne and Rhonda Martin, his friends; Anthony, Corey, Robert, and many Aunts Uncles, Cousins, and Friends.

He is preceded in death by his sister, Nikki Mell, and his grandparents, Thomas and Lois Prouse.

The family will receive visitors at Rogers Funeral Home, 301 Lakeview Ave., Milford from 11AM to 1PM on Monday 6/5, with a funeral service at 1PM.

Cremation to follow.
