John C. Eby
Age 83, of Ellendale, passed away Tuesday, December 18, 2012 at Milford Center.
John was born on July 3, 1929, in Upland, Pennsylvania, son of the late John N. and Cleda (Booz) Eby.
He served proudly in the Pennsylvania National Guard.
Mr. Eby was employed as a truck driver for several companies over the years, lastly with Exxon Mobile Gas from where he retired in 1980.
After retiring, John kept busy fixing and remodeling used golf carts he acquired and reselling his finished product. In his leisure time, he enjoyed gardening and landscaping.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Eby was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn Connors Eby in 2004.
He is survived by two sons, Jim Eby of Newtown, PA and John Eby of Honey Brook, PA; a daughter, Linda Henry of Greenwood; a sister, Dorothy Gieden of Twin Oaks, PA; 4 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
Services and burial will be held privately at Holy Cross Cemetery in Dover.
The family has requested donations in his memory be made to the Milford Public Library, 11 SE Front St, Milford, DE, 19963.
