Joan Louise Ballard
Of Millsboro, passed away Friday, July 13, 2012 at the Atlantic Shores Rehabilitation and Health Center in Millsboro. She was 80.
Joan Louise was born on July 23, 1931 in La Follette, Tenn., daughter of the late Maurice and Vina (Eubanks) Ballard.
She was employed as a bookkeeper for Murphy's Department Stores in Tennessee before retiring.
Ms Ballard was a member of the St. Bernadette's Catholic Church in Harrington.
She is survived by two brothers Robert Ballard and his wife, Claire of Maryland and Harry Ballard and his wife, Arlene of Lewes; a sister-in-law, Eleanor Ballard of Camden and two nephews; Michael Harris of Felton and Richard Harris of New Windsor, Md.
Friends may call from 12:00 - 1:15 p.m. on Tuesday, July 17, 2012 at Rogers Funeral Home, 301 Lakeview Ave, Milford.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 17, 2012 at St. Bernadette's Catholic Church, 109 Dixon St, Harrington.
Burial will follow the service in Holy Cross Cemetery in Dover.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial contributions to St. Bernadette's Catholic Church, Grotto of the Blessed Mother Fund, 109 Dixon St, Harrington, DE, 19952.
