Jessie I. McWilliams
MILFORD - Jessie I. McWilliams passed away on Saturday, October 18, 2014 at Bayhealth Milford Memorial Hospital. She was 90.
Jessie was born in Academia, Pennsylvania on July 4, 1924, daughter of the late James L. and Linda M. (Beaver) Innis.
She cherished her role as a full time homemaker and mother and found great joy spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Jessie was a devoted member of the First Presbyterian Church in Milford where she was an active Circle member and gladly helped out with many other church activities.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John H. McWilliams, Jr. in 2011.
Jessie is survived by a son, John E. "Jack" McWilliams and his wife Cheryll Hills McWilliams of Milford; a daughter, Linda McWilliams Warren and her husband Joseph Warren of Milford; four grandchildren, Robin McWilliams Targett and companion Dennis Delaney, John K. McWilliams and wife Leslie, Matthew S. Smith and his companion Alexis Rose, and Joseph Warren and wife Tracy; and seven great grandchildren, Morgan McWilliams, Tyler McWilliams, Alex McWilliams, Declan McWilliams, Harper Smith, Ryder Warren, and Meadow Warren.
Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 25, 2014 at Rogers Funeral Home, 301 Lakeview Ave, Milford, where friends may call after 11:00 a.m.
Burial will follow the service at the Milford Community Cemetery on Route 113.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial contributions to the First Presbyterian Church, P.O. Box 172, Milford, DE, 19963.
