On November 11, 2020, James “Jim” Reilly peacefully passed away at Christiana Hospital with his wife by his side.
He was born in NY on January 22, 1938 to the late Delia Marie Straehle and John Joseph Reilly
Jim was born and raised in the New York area. He attended Stepinac High School and played football at the University of South Carolina.
After school Jim honorably served our country in the U.S. Marine Corp.
He was the owner and operator of Garden State Baling Company.
Jim was an avid golfer , a NY Giants Fan and a “political junkie”.
He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Peggy Reilly. Jim is also survived by his brother, Robert Reilly and his wife Geraldine, his sister in laws, Judy Reilly and his favorite, Lynda McDonald, his brother in law, Don McDonald, many nieces and nephews, and his beloved dog, Maddie.
A special thanks to his niece Ellen Herritt and sister in law Lynda McDonald for all their support of his wife during this time.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, John and Brendon Reilly.
The family has requested donations in his name be made to Delaware Hospice, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963, or too Tunnels to Towers Foundation, 2361 Hylan Blvd, Staten Island, NY 10306.
