Milford – On October 23, 2017, Howard F. Haverkamp, 75, went home with the Lord.
Mr. Haverkamp was born on July 31, 1942 in Philadelphia, PA, to Howard and Gertrude Haverkamp.
He honorably served our country in Air Force from 1959 to 1977, retiring as a Master Sergeant. Howard then worked as a prison guard in Georgetown, retiring after 20 years.
Mr. Haverkamp was a member of Avenue U.M.C., and enjoyed reading his bible. He also enjoyed socializing on his computer with people he had met during his time in the Air Force.
Howard is survived by his wife of 44 years, Sunee Haverkamp. He is also survived by his children, Franklin and Scott Haverkamp; 2 grandchildren; his sister, Jean Beck; and his sister in law, Patricia Haverkamp.
A Memorial Service will be held at Avenue United Methodist Church, on Tuesday, October 31st, at 11AM, with a gathering starting at 10. Interment will be Delaware Veterans Cemetery in Millsboro.
