Helen Cooper
Of Milford, passed away Saturday, August 13, 2011 at Bayhealth Milford Memorial Hospital. She was 86.
Helen was born on December 31, 1924 in Petersburg, DE, daughter of the late Elwood and Vera (Raughley) Cooper.
She was employed in the Research Department of the L.D. Caulk Company in Milford for 36 years, retiring in 1990.
Helen enjoyed bowling and in the Spring and Summer months she could be spotted on a regular basis happily tending to her vegetable garden.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Byron E. Cooper.
She is survived by her two nephews, Byron E. Cooper, Jr. and his wife Barbara of Louisville, KY and Roger Cooper and his wife Paula of Newark; three great nieces, one great nephew, one great- great niece and two great-great nephews.
Services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, August 19, 2011 at Rogers Funeral Home, 301 Lakeview Ave, Milford, where friends may call one hour prior.
Burial will be held in the Milford Community Cemetery on Route 113.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested memorial contributions to the First Presbyterian Church, P.O. Box 172, Milford, DE, 19963.
