Filomena P. Lynch
Of Milford, passed away Saturday, December 10, 2011 at Milford Center. She was 90.
She was born on December 10, 1921 in Cooperstown, NY.
Mrs. Lynch graduated from the Milford Memorial Hospital School of Nursing with the Class of 1950.
She was employed as a registered nurse with Milford Hospital for 40 years, retiring in 1987 in the position she held for many of those years as a nursing supervisor.
Mrs. Lynch was a member of the AARP, the Milford Senior Center and a member of the St. John's Catholic Church in Milford.
She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Harry B. Lynch; four nieces; special family friends, Bob and Ann Southard of Milford; a close friend, Pauline Maloney of Milford and her caregiver, Seiglinde Patterson.
Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, December 14, 2011 at Rogers Funeral Home, 301 Lakeview Ave, Milford.
Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday at St. John's Catholic Church, 506 Seabury Ave, Milford.
Burial will be held in the Milford Community Cemetery on Route 113.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial contributions to the S.P.C.A., Kent Chapter, 32 Shelter Circle, Camden, DE, 19934.
