Dorothy M. Isaacs
LEWES - Dorothy M. Isaacs passed away Wednesday, April 16, 2014 at Beebe Healthcare in Lewes.
Dorothy was born in Savannah, Georgia, daughter of the late Bertha (Pell) Moore and James W. Moore.
She was employed as a secretary with the Marriott Corporation for over 25 years before retiring.
Dorothy was involved for many years; along with her husband Larry, as a volunteer with deliveries for the Meals on Wheels program. She loved to travel and enjoyed playing golf while a member of the Rehoboth Beach Country Club.
She was a devoted member of the Epworth United Methodist Church in Rehoboth Beach.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Isaacs, two brothers, Kenneth Sumner and Curtis Moore, and a sister, Nellie Harris.
Dorothy is survived by a brother, Bob Moore and his wife Telva of Missoula, MT; a sister, Peggy Holt of Gulf, NC; a niece, Tricia Harris of Miami, FL; three stepdaughters, Kay Greene of Lincoln, Sue Isaacs of Milton, and Beth Isaacs of Ashville, NC; and dear friends, Doris Taylor and Jane McCurry.
The family would like to express their appreciation to the staff of Cadbury of Lewes for the exceptional care given to Dorothy while she was a resident.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 22, 2014 in the Milford Community Cemetery on North Walnut Street in Milford.
Burial will follow the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial contributions to the Epworth United Methodist Church, 19285 Holland Glade Rd, Rehoboth Beach, DE, 19971, or to Meals on Wheels, 32409 Lewes-Georgetown Hwy, Lewes, DE, 19958.
