Dorothy V. Fique

HARRINGTON - Dorothy V. Fique passed away on Tuesday, July 28, 2015 at Foulk Manor North in Wilmington, DE. Until her health caused her to leave her home, she was a resident of Harrington for over 20 years.  She was 84.

Dorothy was born on June 20, 1931 in Baltimore, MD, daughter of the late Earl C. and Margaret E. Jacobs, (nee Eppig).

Dorothy received her BS in Biology from Notre Dame College of Maryland and her MA in Guidance and Counseling from The Johns Hopkins University.  She began her employment as a lab scientist at The John Hopkins Hospital and sought advancement opportunities at the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy.  Dorothy left the lab in the mid 1970's and found her new niche working as a trainer for AT&T at both the Cockeysville, MD and Reading, PA sites, from where she retired in 1984.

Dorothy was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Milford, where she was also involved with the Women's Association.  Her passion in life was being a loving wife and mother to all of her children.

She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Frank A. Fique; two sons, Roland Lyle Griffith, Jr. of Port Deposit, MD; and David Bryan Fique and his wife Heidi of Auburn, PA; three daughters, Lisa C. Blatt of Somerset, NJ; Laura E. Sharpless and her husband Terry of Mullica Hill, NJ; and Nadine Y. Mak of Owing Mills, MD; a brother, Jerome Eppig of Towson, MD; seven grandchildren, and three great grandchildren.

Services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 1, 2015 at Rogers Funeral Home, 301 Lakeview Ave, Milford, where friends may call after 10:00 a.m.

Interment will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, August 3, 2015 at the Lorraine Park Cemetery, 5608 Dogwood Rd, Baltimore.
