Dorlene Ann Fox
LINCOLN - Dorlene A. Fox passed away on Sunday, August 14, 2016 at home surrounded by her family. She was 72.
She was born in Georgetown on October 11, 1943, daughter of the late Alfred Clarence Dickerson and Helen Aliene (Johnson) Dickerson.
Dorlene was employed as a registered nurse with Bayhealth Milford Memorial Hospital, lastly working with the Infection Control Department, retiring after 44 years with the hospital. She also served on the Board of the Hospital Credit Union.
She cherished family time, enjoyed days on the beach, was an active volunteer in Republican politics and was a devoted member of the Avenue United Methodist Church in Milford.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Dickerson.
Dorlene is survived by her husband of 41 years, Valvert "Val" Fox; two daughters, Sonya Roberts of Lincoln, and Tami Miller of Newark; a brother, Richard Dickerson of Dagsboro; and eight grandchildren.
Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 20, 2016 at Rogers Funeral Home, 301 Lakeview Ave, Milford, where friends may call after 11:00 a.m.
Burial will follow the services in the Milford Community Cemetery on North Walnut Street.
