Deborah A. Parks

Of Milford, passed away Sunday, July 31, 2011 at the Delaware Hospice Center in Milford, surrounded by her family. She was 57.

Deborah was born on November 25, 1953 in Wilmington, daughter of Albert and Jacqueline (Ford) Skinner.

She was a 1972 graduate of the Sanford School.

Mrs. Parks was self employed for many years, the owner and operator of Parks Paint and Paper.

She loved the outdoors and animals especially enjoying her free time spent horse back riding and fishing.

Debbie was a member of the Cooch's Bridge Chapter of Daughters of the American Revolution.

She is survived by her husband of 30 years, Peter J. Parks; her parents; Albert and Jacqueline Skinner of Hockessin, DE; two sisters and brothers-in-law; Jackie S. and Fredrick Ohrenschall of Bear, DE and Stephanie and B. Christopher Daney of Avondale, PA; her mother-in-law; Mary Parks; a brother and sister-in-law; Patrick and Athina Parks, all of Mardella, MD; four nephews; Drew Fortunato, Cory Fortunato, Wyatt Skinner and Michael Parks and a niece, Anastasia Parks.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Friday, August 5, 2011 at St. John's Catholic Church, 506 Seabury Ave, Milford, where friends may call after 10:30 a.m.

Burial will be held privately.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to the S.P.C.A., Sussex Chapter, 22918 DuPont Blvd, Georgetown, DE, 19947 or to Sarcoma Cancer Research, Johns Hopkins Hospital, 100 N. Charles St., Suite 234, Baltimore, MD, 21201, checks payable to John Hopkins Medicine.

Arrangements handled by Rogers Funeral Home, Milford.
