David Patrick Tucker
Of Milford, passed away Wednesday, February 9, 2011 at Bayhealth Milford Memorial Hospital. He was 43.
David was born on July 9, 1967 in Columbus, Georgia.
He was a veteran of the United States Air Force.
Mr. Tucker was employed as a diesel mechanic with I.G. Buton & Co in Milford for 8 years, leaving his position in 2006 because of declining health.
He enjoyed attending BMX races to watch his son, Andrew, who raced with his team, Zero Gravity and listening to the music of his son, Michael's band, Stars Not Sirens. In addition to his son's activities David's other favorite pastimes were spending quality time with his friends, fishing and gardening.
He was preceded in death by a son, Gregory James Scott.
He is survived by two sons, David Michael Tucker and Joseph Andrew Tucker, both of Milford; his father, Ned Hackworth of Salyersville, Kentucky; his mother, Sandra J. Hackworth of Milford; his companion, Tammy Johnson of Milford; a brother, Douglas Hackworth of Davenport, Florida and a sister, Cynthia Bawek of Milford.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 13, 2011 at the Moose Lodge #2316, 20142 Beaver Dam Rd, Milford.
Burial will be held privately.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial contributions to Home of the Brave, 6632 Sharps Rd, Milford, DE, 19963.
