Albert Dale Faust
DOVER - Albert Dale Faust passed away Thursday, October 20, 2016 in Bayhealth Kent General Hospital, Dover.
He was born in Streator, Illinois on December 14, 1927, son of the late Leo G. and Ora E. (Albert) Faust.
Mr. Faust was a proud veteran serving his country as a 1st Lieutenant in the United States Marine Corp during World War II and the Korean War and after as an active duty member of the Marine Corp Reserves leaving with the rank of Captain.
He was employed as a civil engineer with Barber Greene Company in Aurora, Illinois. Mr. Faust retired after 23 years with the company and started his own consultant business, Prairie States Engineering in Ottawa, Illinois, which he operated for eight years.
Nothing was more important in life to Dale than building wonderful memories and raising three children with his beloved wife of 57 years, Phyllis. He was also a very proud grandfather and great grandfather.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis J. Faust in 2006.
He is survived by a son, Dale A. Faust and his wife Nancy of Southampton, NJ; two daughters, Vicky J. Zazzali and her husband Robert of Glassboro, NJ, and Cheryl A. McKee and her husband Tony of Millsboro; seven grandchildren, Kimberly Faust Petke and her husband Mike, Michael Zazzali, Melanie McKee Baker and her husband Greg, Matthew McKee and his wife Ashley, Justin Faust and his wife Casey, Melissa Zazzali, and Gregory McKee; and four great grandchildren, Dylan Petke, Phoenix Baker, Mason Petke, and Emma McKee.
Services with military honors will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 26, 2016 in the Chapel of the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 2465 Chesapeake City Rd, Bear.
