Christina S. Moran
"Chris"
Of Milton, passed away Sunday, May 20, 2012 at Christiana Medical Center in Newark. She was 67.
Chris was born on September 7, 1944 in Massapequa, New York, daughter of the late Chester and Olga (Episco) Grzymala.
She was a registered nurse, her career spanning over 40 years employed at separate times for Beebe Medical Center in Lewes, Bayhealth Milford Memorial Hospital and lastly as a visiting nurse with Christiana Care from where she retired in 2009.
Chris had a great fondness for animals and was an avid supporter of her local S.P.C.A. She also enjoyed gardening and the tranquility of her home in Broadkill Beach.
She was a member of the St. John's Catholic Church in Milford.
Chris is survived by her son, Michael Moran of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; a daughter, Patricia A. Gillespie of Milford; her brother, Thomas Grzymala of Alexandria, VA; a grandchild, Aiden Gillespie; her devoted friend, Dharma Luiken of Milford; and a special companion, Fritz, her long haired dachshund.
A Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 24, 2012 at St. John's Catholic Church, 506 Seabury Ave, Milford, where friends may call at 10:15 a.m.
Burial will be held privately.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial contributions to the S.P.C.A., Sussex Chapter, 22918 DuPont Blvd, Georgetown, DE, 19947.
