On December 5, 2017, Carolynn M. Hinton passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family and friends at the Delaware Hospice Center in Milford, DE.
Mrs. Hinton was born in Drexel Hill, PA on August 25, 1965, to Genevieve Hughes and the late Richard Joseph Carmichael.
Throughout the years Carolynn worked in customer service for CoreStates Bank in Wilmington DE, Marine F.C.U. in Jacksonville, NC and Premier Restoration in Milton, DE.
She was a member of St. Johns the Apostle Catholic Church and was active in Milford Sports Boosters.
As a devoted Military spouse, Carolynn looked forward to making all holidays special, especially celebrating the United States Marine Corps birthday with her husband.
A mentor, dear friend, loving mom and wife, Carolynn’s personality would fill a room. Bubbly, energetic, with an infectious pink lipstick smile, she opened up her home to all. She was a passionate pet lover and made the best brownies ever.
Mrs. Hinton enjoyed running the bake booth at St. Johns Oktoberfest, traveling, making memories with her husband and 2 sons, but most of all, taking care of her family and spending time with them.
Carolynn is survived by her husband of 24 years, Michael Hinton. She is also survived by her children, Joseph and Sean Hinton, her mother, Genevieve Hughes and stepfather, John, her brothers; John Carmichael and his wife Sandy(Gray), and Stephen Carmichael and his wife Stephanie (Timpko), four nieces and one nephew.
The family will receive visitors at the Rogers Funeral Home, 301 Lakeview Ave., Milford, from 9AM to 11AM on Saturday 12/16. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Johns the Apostle on Saturday at 12 noon. Cremation to follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her name may be made to the Delaware Hospice Center, 100 Patriots Way Milford, DE 19963, or to the Cancer Support Community; 812 Bradford St., Dover, DE 19904.
