Bonnie W. Shea
Happy, horse loving, banjo player
Bonnie W. Shea, of Milford, Delaware, passed away at home on December 23rd
after a courageous battle with cancer. Bonnie was born in Georgetown on
December 15, 1948 to James A. West and Hazel (Spence) West.
Bonnie grew up in Georgetown and enjoyed music, singing, sewing and animals,
especially horses. She also enjoyed spending time with her paternal
grandparents, James & Clara West. Bonnie loved spending time with her family
and friends and she especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
She liked to crochet and if she found out your favorite color she’d show up with
a scarf or blanket made just for you. Her love of horses continued through her
entire life. She enjoyed riding and collecting horse art. Her love of music
continued as well. She taught herself to play the banjo over the past few years
and would often play her favorite song “You are my Sunshine” for family and
friends. Bonnie’s personality was always sunny and her greatest goal was to
make those around her happy. She will be missed dearly by her family and
friends.
Bonnie is survived by her husband Gary D. Shea, her daughter and son-in-law,
Ami and Ryan Rae, her son Thomas H. Clendaniel and his fiancé Kara Smith,
granddaughter Kiarae Campbell, grandson Quinn Rae, granddaughter Marley
Clendaniel and MacKenzie Lewis.
The family invites friends to join them to celebrate Bonnie’s life on Sunday,
February 4, 2018 from 12pm to 3pm at The Backyard restaurant, 211 Broadkill
Rd, Milton, DE.
