Blanche F. Callahan
ELLENDALE - Blanche F. Callahan passed away at home on Friday, June 3, 2016. She was 86.
She was born in Lehighton, Pennsylvania on August 8, 1929, daughter of the late Luther I. and Florence (Weber) Beers.
Blanche was a full time homemaker.
She enjoyed participating in activities as a member of the Blue Hen VFW Post #6483 in Milford and the Longneck AMVETS Post #22 in Millsboro, where she loved dancing when they had special events.
Blanche was also a member of the Reformation Lutheran Church in Milford.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Callahan in 2006.
Blanche is survived by her children; Michael Callahan and his wife Pamela of Polk City, IA; Douglas Callahan and his wife, Betty of Spotswood, NJ; Dennis Callahan of Kunkletown, PA; David Callahan and his companion Tammy of Ellendale; and Carol Payne and her husband William of Jefferson, GA; 18 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren.
A memorial service to celebrate Blanche's life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 9, 2016 at the Reformation Lutheran Church, 613 Lakeview Ave, Milford.
Burial will be held privately.
