On November 25, 2017, Bessie Cristopher, 102, passed away peacefully at the Country Rest Home in Greenwood, DE.
She was born May 9, 1915 in Lincoln, DE to the late Walter and Elizabeth Bailey.
Bessie was preceded in death by her husband, Victor Christopher, who was the love of her life for 23 years.
They enjoyed traveling to Hawaii, Italy, Mexico, Arizona, Florida, and taking Caribbean Cruises.
She was an avid reader and animal lover, especially her cats. Bessie loved gardening, sewing, crocheting, knitting and many types of crafts, donating many of her handmade items to the local Senior Center. She also enjoyed volunteering at the Shipley Center and the Nanticoke Hospital.
Bessie was also preceded in death by her siblings, Florence Landis, Oscar Bailey, Sylvia Williamson, Hazel Dickerson and Lawrence Bailey.
She is survived by several nieces and nephews.
