Berneice H. Short
MILFORD - Berneice H. Short passed away at home on Wednesday, July 20, 2016.
She was born in Wilmington on June 1, 1923, daughter of the late Carroll and Nettie (Wyatt) Hickman.
Mrs. Short was a full time homemaker who loved spending time teaching other people about the Bible. She was a devoted member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Milford.
In addition to her parents, Berneice was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Samuel C. Short in 2005; her daughter, Marsha S. Rogers in 2015; three brothers, and two sisters.
She is survived by two sons, Charles F. Short of Georgetown, and Clifford S. Short of Milford; and three grandchildren.
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, July 25, 2016 at Rogers Funeral Home, 301 Lakeview Ave, Milford, where friends may call after 10:00 a.m.
Burial will follow the service in Barratt's Chapel Cemetery, Frederica.
