Andrea C. Winward
Of Milford, passed away Wednesday, April 4, 2012 at the Delaware Hospice Center in Milford. She was 71.
Andrea was born on June 10, 1940 in Philadelphia, daughter of the late Andrew and Emily (Zolteck) Alfonse.
Mrs. Winward was employed as a secretary for 20 years with Avaya, formerly AT&T, retiring in 1999.
Her favorite pastimes were painting, baking, tending to her horses and trips to the beach but she treasured most the special times spent with her family and grandchildren.
She attended Avenue United Methodist Church in Milford and was very involved with many of their activities.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John R. Winward in 2006.
She is survived by three sons; John Winward of Milford, Dean Winward of Boston, MA and Jim Winward of York, PA; two daughters; Linda W. Roller of Ivyland, PA and Laurie Winward of Chicago, IL; three brothers; Joe Alfonse of Rehoboth, Michael Alfonse and John Alfonse, both of Philadelphia, PA; a sister, Pat Graff of Merina, CA and five grandchildren; Paul Roller, Heather Roller, Patty Winward, Chrissy Winward and Valerie Winward.
Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, April 6, 2012 at Rogers Funeral Home, 301 Lakeview Ave, Milford, where friends may call two hours prior.
Burial will follow the services in the Milford Community Cemetery on Route 113.
