Andrea Lee Pusaver Bowman Roos
Of Milford, passed away Monday, January 10, 2011 at Bayhealth Milford Memorial Hospital surrounded by her family. She was 69.
Andrea was born on March 12, 1941 in Baltimore, Maryland, daughter of the late Andrew William and Grace Rose (Kline) Pusaver.
She was raised in the Westport section of Baltimore city. Andrea attended the public schools in Baltimore and graduated from Western High School in 1959.
Andrea was a full time homemaker for 25 years before deciding to go back to school, with the support of her children, to earn her associate degree. She established a career with the Motor Vehicle Administration in Dover where she was employed for 20 years before retiring in 2004.
Andrea, along with her two sisters, had a great interest in genealogy, true crime books and the ID TV channel. They spent many hours over the years discussing family history and current crime solving techniques. She also enjoyed collecting doll house furniture and playing the piano. Above all else, her greatest love in life was the time spent with her family.
Mrs. Roos was a member of the St. John's Catholic Church in Milford.
She is survived by her husband of 21 years, Robert "Bob" J. Roos, two sons and daughters-in-law; Joseph III and Jan Bowman of Milford and Timothy M. and Dawn Bowman of Greenwood; a daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Kenneth Pierson of Greenwood; a step-son, Robert Roos, Jr. and his wife Annette of Willow Grove, DE; a step-daughter, Jennifer Roos of PA; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Patricia and Obbie Briggs and Kathleen and Michael Dorsam all of Pasadena, MD; four grandchildren, Meagan Pierson, Luke Pierson, Matthew Bowman and Mallory Godwin; three step-grandchildren, Coty Roos, Robert Roos, II and Joshua Haskel; and two great grandchildren, George Severn "Trace" Godwin III and Carmela E. Pierson.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, January 17, 2011 at Rogers Funeral Home, 301 Lakeview Ave, Milford, where friends may call one hour prior.
Burial will be held in Hollywood Cemetery, Route 14, Harrington.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society, 92 Read's Way, Suite 205, New Castle, DE, 19720.
