Alma Tease Rust
Of Milford, passed away on Thursday, October 14, 2010 at the Milford Center. She was 91.
Alma was born on March 20, 1919 in Camden, New Jersey, daughter of the late John and Margaret (Landsbury) Tease.
Alma was a loving Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother and sister. For many years she and her husband, Harry, ran a local insurance and real estate agency. After retirement, they enjoyed spending winter in Seminole, Florida and summer at their home in Slaughter Beach and traveling the United States in their Holiday Rambler.
Two years ago Alma won the Mrs. Assisted Living Beauty Pageant crown. She was happy being with her family and friends, traveling, china painting, oil painting, sewing, singing and loving life.
Alma was a member of the Avenue United Methodist Church in Milford where she had been actively involved in the choir and the United Methodist Women.
In addition to her parents, her husband, Harry S. Rust, preceded her in death in 2008. They were married for 70 years.
She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Joyce (Rust) and Terry Feulner of Walnut, CA; a son and daughter-in-law, Ronald and Margaret Rust of Wilmington; a sister, Florence (Flo Tease) Moore of Castro Valley, CA; 7 grandchildren; Kimberly Vetter and her husband Tracy of Corona Hills, CA; Wendy Wyatt and her husband Charlie of Oceanside, CA; Heather Rust and Kim Lettner of Farmville, VA; Michelle Rust of Beverly, MA; Lowell Rust and his wife Debbie of Easley, SC; Bryan Rust and his wife Doni of Rehoboth and Ashley Rust of Wilmington and 8 great grandchildren; Tyler Vetter, Samantha Vetter, Hannah Wyatt, Connor Wyatt, Ben Rust, Delaney Rust, Grace Rust and Harry Rust. Mommoms hold our tiny hands for just a little while, but our hearts forever.......
A celebration of Alma's life will be held in the summer of 2011 on July 2nd at 11:00 a.m. at the Rust family cottage in Slaughter Beach.
The family has suggested memorial contributions to Delaware Hospice, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE, 19963.
