Alberta Stinedurf

Alberta Marie Stinedurf (9/24/1938 – 2/3/2022) Alberta Stinedurf, of Hertford, NC passed peacefully in her sleep on Thursday, February 3, 2022 at Milford Senior Living in Milford, Delaware.  In addition to being a home maker Alberta worked briefly as a telephone switchboard operator before transitioning to retail for most of her career.  However, the job that gave her the greatest pleasure was childcare, providing a great start to many children in the Hertford/Edenton area.

Alberta is preceded in death by her husband, Richard Stinedurf and her son, Bruce Reid, Jr.  She will be missed dearly by her son, Dean Reid, her six grand children and four great grandchildren.  A memorial service will be held for Alberta at Milford Place Senior Center at a time to be determined.  A private grave-side service will occur on Thursday, March 17, 2022 at 1:00PM at Cheltenham Veterans Cemetery, Cheltenham, MD.  In lieu of flowers the family is asking that donations be made to the employees of Milford Place Senior Center or to your local chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association.

Alberta’s family would like to thank the dedicated staff of Milford Place for their tireless dedication to her care.  She absolutely adored everyone at the community.
